If I get an Alltrax Controller will it work with my pedal pot as is or will the pedal need to be changed also? It looks like I can get a rebuilt Curtis 1205
-112 for $190 or a used Alltrax 400 amp for $240. What's the best option here?

I would do the alltrax, a lot more fun, and tuneable. Alltrax can do many throttle types, including your ITS.

Thanks for your advice...if the Alltrax is compatible with my pedal, then I think that's the direction I'll go. I will keep you posted.

CG, he has a PCX-956, which has a pot-box throttle. (Or at least that is what the manual shows, I've never seen the innards of a cart like his)

metalmedic: By connecting a computer to the Alltrax controller, you can select the throttle type and fine tune many controller parameters to suit your needs.

Basically, you can tune it to behave like a dragster or a luxury sedan, or anything in between.

Alltrax AXE 48500 is what I have in my 952 with 0-5k
Any number of series controls with 0-5k throttle will work.
Note not all Alltrax have selectable throttle types.

ScottyB, so I guess the reason the 1205-117 Curtis contror doesn't work correctly is because the PCX series uses 0-5k throttle input and it must work off of a different signal? It seems crazy you wouldn't think it would work at all, much less backwards

Maybe yours wants a 0-5k and has a 5k-0 or vise versa. Easily repairable by moving a couple of wires on the pot box.

I tried swapping the two wires from the pot box, made no difference. Now it won't do anything at all....I just hear the solenoid click when I press the pedal but that is all. Does anyone know the differences of the Curtis 1205-112 and the 1205-117?

That wont work, open the pot box and switch it on the pot itself :)
