Default Hitch and rear seat handle?

I just finished my clay basket for my 2009 now I need to build my hitch and handle for my rear seat. I have the square tubing and angle for the brace. I am going to build my seat trailer from a old ezgo I am chopping so I need it stable. Should I weld on to the frame or just the rear seat floor frame?

The step platform is usually not suitable for hitch mounting for 2 reasons...
1- too much flex in step for much tongue weight.
2- hitch sticks down too far and drags on ground on hills

Yours is lifted, so #2 may not be too big a deal with yours. I dont know how heavy a trailer you will be using, but you dont want it flexing the step, eventually breaking the welds and breaking the step.

I agree 100% on the hitch flex issue. The load is just too cantilevered on the step platform. I have wanted to beef mine up for quite a while now but just don't ever seem to get around to it.

So the bottom plate is a little rusted should I replace the plate with something thicker gauge then add my receiver to that plate? Then place a supporting bracket to the end of the step plate? That seems to be a long distance from the frame plate to the end of the seat step

I mounted a hitch to the rear seat foot rest and it bent it. Had to re-do it.
