re: OBC Bypass ~ Technnical Tips
We must be miscommunicating or those wires are not running the way you think they do.
Since you are getting pack voltage from B- ( I assume you meant 50.7v or 51.7v and not 57.7v) and the wire should go directly from Controller B- to the solenoid small post... With the yellow wire connected to Controller B-, Do You get pack voltage reading from the pack positive battery post to the solenoid small post where the yellow wire is connected ? |

re: OBC Bypass ~ Technnical Tips
You're awesome Sergio! Sorry for the troubles. I was taking that yellow wire off the solenoid and putting it on B- directly. so, it was still hooked up to the OBC to B-. Now, I ran the yellow wire straight from B- to the negative side of the solenoid and it works fine. thank you!

re: OBC Bypass ~ Technnical Tips
Hey Guys,
First time posting so bare with me please. I am a little confused with the OBC bypass. I have 2007 club car Presedent IQ. I am in the middle of upgrade to XCT 500 alltrax controller, wires, 400 amp solenoid,A4 motor. Bad *** I know. Ha. Any way i also purchased a new charger the Uy series and would like to bypass the OBC. I noticed Neg pack wire running thru the OBC to the controller. Do I still need to do this? can you also go over the Blue wire connection again Thanks, Jim |

re: OBC Bypass ~ Technnical Tips
You can disconnect and totally remove the OBC from the cart.
With an XCT500 You should be upgrading your cables to 4ga or 2ga anyway so that will allow you to run the new negative cable easier. Remember to run the 12ga negative wire from the charger receptacle directly to pack negative battery post. Also, specific to the Alltrax XCT, you do not need to jump any wires on the OBC connector, just unplug it. Go to the Alltrax Software and set: Disable the Controller when interlock input signal (user 3) is: High/Low |

re: OBC Bypass ~ Technnical Tips
I have a 05 Precedent. The wiring has been modified, I know a tail light kit has been removed at the very least, Please see the attachment. I'm in the process of removing the OBC and converting from 4x12 to 6x8. Which wiring diagram do I use as none match up precisely.
Serial drive by-pass Regen-1 by-pass Regen-2 by-pass or do I have a oddball cart and none will work. I could just bypass it at the controller. I assume the reason for using the pin method from the controller is if one wanted at add the OBC back in no re-wiring would be required? |

re: OBC Bypass ~ Technnical Tips
Just use the instructions on the first post, they are designed for any IQ or Excell cart.
This should be your wiring diagram: You can just cut the Light-Blue and the White wires in the harness right before the OBC 6-pin connector and splice those 2 wires together. You also need to make sure the 10ga negative wire from the charger receptacle goes directly to the pack negative battery post. |
