Can you elaborate on the mod to the original cable and how you disable the ground speed governor for us newbies?

It has a shorter heavier spring compared to the stock cable where you would normally use zip ties.
I've used a few in the past but usually just mod. the original cable and disable ground speed governor on the newer Subaru's with EFI.

I'm with gears and still at 29-an occasionally 31 mph. I want to do more. Cant figure out the governor thing but it wants to go faster but gov wont let it! It also makes a bit of a hissing sound like belt not grabbing or brushes? So far I'm not happy

"I just took my 2016 to the Club Car dealer and they are installing the gears. I'm wondering if they are needed with all of this zip tie talk! I also sent my cart to Mr. Golf Car in GA to get stretched."

If you're not happy at 31 in a stretched cart you're not going to be happy unless you buy a utv

He did my stretch! And did a great job.. I'm getting 32mph on the limiter (but I'm lifted on 24in tall car tires) . So are you not doing a lift and just gears? Let us know what kind of mph you end up getting.

I'm pretty sure you can get gears for around $300. It's the install that is a killer, you'll have to split the rearend apart for the install. Down side is that they only offer 9:1 currently.. I'm waiting for the 6:1 ratio..
