Is there a sure fire way to test a starter generator on a 2010 CC Precedent?
I've already replaced the voltage regulator and still am only getting 12.05V at the battery at full throttle. I'd like to be sure before I go and replace this sucker.

Disconnect the yellow wire (field) at the generator, use a piece of 14 ga wire with the proper eyelet and connect to that terminal, and then touch the battery ground with the other while it is running and check the voltage. If it picks up the voltage, you know the gen is working.
