Need help finding part
OK,
This may sound odd but I wanted to know if anyone knew where to find what I am looking for? I want something that would bolt on the footrest of my rear seat to make it more of a basket. So I could put a cooler on the back and it wouldn't slide off. Maybe like a 3-4" collar that would wrap around the existing diamond tread platform. Does that make any sense? I basically want to turn the floorboard of the back seat into a mini tray so things wouldn't fly off around corners. And no I can't fabricate worth Sh.. FAW |

Re: Need help finding part
I would suggest going to a local welder and asking them to fabricate one for you. I don't think I have ever had a request like that before from a customer.

Re: Need help finding part
Even you might be able to fabricate this.
Look for some 1/2" #13(or lighter gauge) flattened expanded metal. You should be able to cut this with some decent tin snips. Height is up to you. Then just wrap the strip around the perimeter and use sheet metal screws and fender washers to attach. Or you can drill/tap for machine screws. Removable if/when necessary and you s/b able to find this stuff at the big box stores in your area. Alternatively, if you can't find expanded metal, look around for hardware cloth. Just some ideas for you. |

Why don't you make a toolbox cooler and just put it in the bag well. |
