Default 2004 Club Igniter

Where is the igniter located on a 2004 Club Car

I took the rpm limiter off and it is not under it as mentioned in other posts.

We had the coil replaced and when it still was having spark problems we were told that it needed a new igniter.

the ignitor is built into the coil on that year..............in 1997 they redid it instead of the ignitor being its own part located behind the rpm limitor they built the ignitor into the coil............keep in mind its not uncommon to get a new BAD part.......happens all the time...................................

thanks for the info

Is it possible to test with separate igniter on this coil or due to the fact that it is incorporated in have to pick up new coil pack?

Can they be separated back apart with purchase of coil with out igniter and then add external igniter?

As all others have said this site is a wonderful resource of knowledge.

as for testing its a crapshoot since they go bad in so many ways theres no 100% bench test as for going back to old style? the coil/ignitor you need is 30% less then the old stuff as far as cost......you can get your coil cheaper then the old ignitor by itself and not to mention you,ll need the old coil also.............i would leave it as is..................................
