Next morning call Progressive and its $397 !

Called Gieco they do not insure street legal carts in Ca.
Called a few others , looks like I'm going with Allstate full coverage $111.00 a year.
And that $397 will be for 6 months, please be very careful with that Allstate quote, that will be for non street use, along with an exclusion for no license plates. Those $100 “full coverage” policies are for golf course or private property use only, not on public streets. Once you get that policy there will be a almost not seen sentence stating that. A street legal Allstate policy that includes PIP, and that is the kicker that Florida requires for tags, well a street use policy from Allstate is around $400 or more depending on the limits for 6 months, they only write 6 months in Florida. I don’t want to sound like the insurance police but here in our town there are hundreds of street legal LSV all over the place and in almost 10 years of owning and using 2 street carts I have tried every avenue to get lower quotes, I bounce between Allstate, State Farm, progressive etc and they all are around the same $450 or so every 6 months.
You know we all try to p,any the loopholes like when we try to insure a 100mph boat, the agent asked what is the top speed, we answer I don’t know, I haven’t picked it up yes, the agent may then say guess, I have to put something on the application, we then say “I don’t know, maybe 45 or 50 mph. You now are paying premiums for a policy that has no coverage, you will at some point receive a letter canceling the policy in a few weeks once it goes through underwriting

My sister-in-law for years kept rubbing my nose in her $100 Allstate policy, always adding that her agent said it is covered for street use, until she hit a person crossing the street, within a few days she received the letter f4om all#tate denying coverage and not it the sentence on the policy that she really never saw,
Now she is paying all her defense costs out of her pocket and most likely will need to file bankruptcy over this. Sorry for the long post but it really is important to not kid ourselves about insuring these “Barbi carts” for use on the street

I have my own car-sharing company and therefore each of my cars has insurance, and I also take out additional insurance for different occasions.
