Just to be honest here, My experience with radios has been that a stock radio from a Gm car or truck from the 70's will work well on tractors,or lawnmowers. i have not tried it on a cart yet, but I have run them on a farm tractor and on my john deere lawnmower years ago. Those radios have alot of noise suppression built in from what I remember and Am works well. Most modern radios have a poor am stage.
As for the antenna. Get a after market car antenna with the large spring on the base and make a bracket it will fit in,mount it to 1 of the roof supports with a ubolt clamp and let it go above the top a bit. |
