Your battery meter must be missing one of your battery. Make sure the meter wires are connected in the correct places.

Now im thinking on my meter i have red to positive on battery and neg to ground accesary bar instead of straight to battery . Would that make a difference?

The neg for you meter should go to main pack neg.

Take a picture of the battery pack and all of the wiring and I'll see if I can help you out.

I'm thinking the voltage reducer is getting Neg. from battery number 5. That would explain the battery meter voltage.
