I didn't know that was an option. My long term plan was to get 12 more volts and a BMS with the highest safe discharge rate. Then the other upgrades to go along with a 36v to 48 v conversion. I will probably still do that but need to absorb the battery expense first. SWMBO has been very tolerant but I think I will have to wait a bit before launching the rest of my evil plan.

The only instruction I have gotten regarding the capacitor was to wire it in parallel between battery discharge and controller. I will know more when I receive them (they are sending two to attach back to back if necessary) but I expect they will have a connection for both positive and negative.
