Default EZGO Marathon starter generator

I have a Marathon that was running perfect over the weekend. I got back to my campsite and parked it. When I tried to take off a little bit later, it wouldn't do anything. Someone came out to look at it and tested my battery and said the battery was dead. After buying a new battery, it started right up. We rode around on and off for a few hours over the day, it died out on me again. After doing some research, I believe it's the starter generator. Does anyone have any input? And what can I do to fix it? I don't wanna drop $350 on a part for a cart to putz around on a campsite that I only spent $700 to purchase originally...

We figgerd that,
Start by checking all wires and connections are they clean and tight
Charge the battery right away so it isn't damaged.
Got a volt ohm meter? Hook it up and check voltage at the battery parked and revved up.
Va should have some old time start gen re builders, check with old old car guys.

Unfortunately it's at my campsite which is over an hour away. So I can't charge until Saturday. But thanks - I'll try that as soon as I get down there this weekend

Don't overlook a faulty voltage regulator as a possibe source of your trouble. You should be able to check the starter/generator by applying full field current to it and then check the output at the battery terminals. The starter/generator should be putting out 16 - 17 volts at the battery with full field applied and near full RPM. I'm not familiar with the ez-go wiring so can't advise how to apply full field. Hope this helps - RAY
