It depends on your needs and technical skills.
A separate battery is easier to install than a DC to DC converter, but has to be charged separately while the DC to DC converter is more or less maintenance free once it is installed. |

Tending to side with Johhnie.... even thou a converter is simple and once installed, no worries, no need for the extra charger, etc. but, for me, the gel cell, covers my needs for the ground lights and the radio and amp... I don't do alot of night driving, little trips around the campsite, trips back from the daughters house after a day of Vball, so a gal cell for the radio and ground lights should do the trick... Liking the input from y'all.. sorry bout the Alabama slang...teehee

spent 2 years in Abalama and when I returned to Michigan, was told I had a southern accent.... response... ya'll r purt neer crazy.... and now I have an ohio accent... 'Go Buckeyes!!'.. and soon a retired accent...." I'll get to it when I get to it!!!'.... but still liking the single extra battery, and will probably change my mind 'bout 2 more times b4 I finally buy something....lol

thats at the campground , thier were a few chargers that went missing on the overnights. so now its chained to the front leg of my 5th wheel. the funny thing is i almost took the chain off before i too the pic lol
