I loved those chargers. I called them force chargers. if your pack is dead this will charge it without needing batt voltage to trigger it on.

PROB is the timer may not cut off the charger, so you can overcharge your batts. I only used one of these to get battery packs above the min voltage spec of the newer auto chargers. Just giving you a heads up.

Output plug is for whatever cart the charger was used on.
Replace it with whatever plug fits the cart you want to use it with.

1. Make sure it isn't humming before you plug into cart. (Timer in "OFF" position)
If the timer hadn't timed out the last time it was used, it will be "ON" the next time it is plugged into AC power and could arc the the contacts in the charge plug/receptacle.

2. It is manual with timer. It stays on as long as there is time left on the timer.
It is a ferroresonant transformer design, so you are not likely to overcharge a 36V battery pack with it.
The charge current starts at about 20A and tapers off as the pack's on-charge voltage increases.
When the on-charge voltage climbs to about 45V, where automatic chargers shut-off, the current is down the about 2A and that is a trickle charge for a 225AH battery.

3. No mods needed to charge dead batteries. No control board = no low voltage sensed, so it with try to charge a tree stump if you can find a place to plug it in.

Another thing it is nice for, is "Equalizing" imbalanced battery packs.
When the individual battery voltages get more than 0.1V apart, give them a 12Hr charge, let them rest for an hour or so and do it again.
