cart goes faster in reverse than forward
I have a 95 ezgo texron 36 volt electric. Just put a set of new batteries in it. I am wondering why my cart runs faster in reverse then forward and has more torque in reverse. Any explanations would be appreiciated. Thanks Brent

Re: cart goes faster in reverse than forward
It has to do with the motor timing. It's more pronounced in some motors than others but it's fairly common.

Re: cart goes faster in reverse than forward
If it is a series cart (series wound motor), it could be something like the high current contacts in the F/R switch aren't lining up as well in F as they are in R.
If it is a DCS cart, (sepex motor), it could be the controller getting ready to give up the ghost. In either case, there are some motors that simply run better in one direction than the other. Scotty beat me to the motor timing thingy. |
