My 36 volt 1998 ezgo txt will not turn on. I have checked all the micro switches, all my connections and my ignition. They are all working but it just wont turn on? does anybody know what could be wrong? Could it be the motor controller?

Does it have a series wound or sepex motor?
What is the battery pack voltage? Does the solenoid click? |

It has a series motor. Its Voltage is 37.6 and the solenoid does not click.

You may have your answer if solenoid doesn't click

Then how can I test the solenoid because I don't want to just throw parts at it?

Probably not the solenoid. Most likely the pedal switch or the reed switch.
Here is a schematic with solenoid activation circuit highlighted |

The reed switch is inside the charger receptacle. A simple continuity test with the charger plug disconnected is the only test necessary. If it fails, simply bypass it, and loop the charger cord through the steering wheel to keep from driving away with it plugged in.

So how do I test the pedal box? How do I test the reed switch? Please explain. I'm sorry but I'm new to this whole thing.
