Fuse Assembly Installation

Greetings,

I am installing the Basic Light Kit on my 2008.5 CC Precedent (4 12 volt batteries) and have just one issue. There is a fuse wire assembly that is part of the kit that has two connections, one for the #1 battery positive connection, and the other for a single 12 gauge blue wire with a spade terminal located behind the electronic component behind the four batteries on the back wall for the run/tow switch.

There is no 12 gauge blue wire that I could find anywhere for a connection. I do see a blue wire connecting to the Curtis Controller. I am stumped as to where the connection attaches.

Any of you experienced a similiar technical issue?

p.s. I will be installing a 48v DC to 12v DC converter.

Thanks for your response; however, it would seem that if I connected both connections of the the fuse wire assembly to the #1 battery the fuse protection is compromised.

The fuse assembly is used in conjunction with a voltage reducer.

The blue wire on your bucket harness should connect to the main positive battery post of the #1 battery. The fuse link you speak of should be discarded as it is only for use on non "i2" Precedents built before 2008.5. The reason you don't see a blue pigtail to hook the wire to is because it's not there. If you're using a 48 to 12 volt reducer you'll want to hook the blue wire to the red pigtail coming off of the #1 battery positive.
