Yamaha G29
Going pick up my first Yamaha cart tomorrow. After a bunch of research and owning 2 Yamaha atv's I decided on a 2012 G29, lifted and will be used to hunt. 23x10x12 Raptors all around. It has a new set of 6 8V Continential batteries and speed is set on code 4. I had it built all black! I plan on getting with Plowman on a controller set up but want to give it a few test rounds before I add anything else. Is the front of the cart set up to mount a winch? if so please send info and anything else I need to be aware of.

Re: Yamaha G29
On a yamaha, setting 4 is about 11 mph with highest regen braking setting. This is not a club car, if the dealer is telling you anything about "speed code 4" being the fast setting, maybe he is selling you a clubcar. Yamahas have 25 or 30 (if ptv speed code is unlocked) possible speed & regen settings, with the fastest settings on a sepex yamaha represented by a letter not a number (A-E).

I picked up the cart today and it's faster than my older ezgo psd And has quite a bit more torque. Very happy with the cart so far. Hopefully I'll get it off road soon to test it a little more. |
