New Here, wanting more out of a '93 36v
I have acquired a 36v club car, I was originally told it was an 82 but after doing the model number search I discovered it was actually a 93, pleasant surprise there. Anyway, it didn't take me long to decide that I need this thing to have a little more power. I plan on taking it up to some land I have and using it to play with there but it's going to need more power than what it has to make it up some of the hills there.
My question is can I replace just the motor or do I need to do the whole solid state conversion? I have also looked into the 36v to 48v conversion but I thought if I could just get a new motor that would be cheaper. I'm new to this so I'm sorry if I ask dumb questions... I have done my best to look around and research for myself but figure it would be easier to ask the pros. |

The motor may not be the first thing you need. Everything has to be upgraded to give you more power. (or at least the weak links)

I have the same cart w/ resistors. I rewired all battery and resistor wires with 2ga. wire, cleaned all resistor connections and put in an aftermarket motor. she runs about 28-30 mph and no problems as of yet. It's been about a year since I have done the swap.
