Default 2005 FE290 with low compression

Hello all i have a 2005 precedent with a fe290 gas engine it was running last week and now it is not. It turns over good but will not crank up my question is does the cart have a compression release on the engine. I was trying to check compression but it only shows around 60 psi SOMETIMES not all times but mostly less. so im needing to check it the right way. thanks for all your help.

Don't quote me on this, but I think only "key start" FE350's had an ACR.
If your cart is a pedal start, it should have a minimum of 120 psi to at least run!
(nominal is 150 to 165psi)

When testing compression on Club Cars, it's crucial that you have the throttle wide open while cranking,
and continue cranking until it the pressure stops building up!

A 2005 is still fairly new... I'd pull the valve cover first, and check to see if the rockers and valves are operating properly!

Maybe someone else will chime in with other suggestions before you go any further!

Try some oil in the plug hole and then measure again. If it goes way up, you need a ring job. If not, you probably have a valve leak.
