Wiring horn on 2007 Yamaha G29
Ok... I'm having trouble wiring a horn on my golf cart. I'm following the manufacturers wiring diagram and am having no luck with it. I'm using a Strebel Compact horn with a relay and a foot mounted horn switch. I have 12v coming from the voltage reducer and going to a relay. From the relay I have a wire going to the switch and another going to the horn. Do I even need to use the relay? I'm not sure I'm doing this right and I need some help. I'll post a diagram and some pics of the equipment soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Wiring horn on 2007 Yamaha G29
If yours has a reducer, it has lights. if it's factory installed lights, there will be a sub lead off the main wire harness for 12 volts that you can use for the horn or accessory plug. No need for a relay. You can use 12 volts positive or negative to the switch, doesn't matter.
