Default 12volt auxiliary battery question

I'm thinking about adding a stereo to my 48 volt club car. I'm thinking of using an auxiliary battery, what are you guys using? Thanks

Where you going to put that extra battery as well as charging it when it needs a charge.

Much easier just to do a 48v to 12v converter to run a stereo (ans any other options- like a usb charger or lights).

You'll want a deep cycle battery, so it can withstand repeated charging. Most people put em in the bag well.
Get a waterproof onboard charger and mount in bagwell. I use a Minn Kota
onboard charger.
That way you can just plug in for charging.

48V to 12V Convertor- $60.00
Deepcycle battery- $100.00+
Waterproof onboard charger-$100.00+
Battery box-$20.00
You're most likely looking at around $250.00 to go with battery.
I didn't think it was worth the money difference, I went with convertor.

I already have a 48 to 12 volt converter to run my lights, led whip, and accessory charger. I was just wondering which approach most people take when adding a stereo. Our cart is a family cart, I lifted it and stretched it 33" to make it a six seater. Mostly driven day time. The stereo won't be on four hours, just when we cruise around, go to bque a, etc. it sure would be a lot easier to just wire it up to my converter. After reading more and more, that sounds like the way I will go, and a little cheaper too! Lol
Thanks!

Try it on the convertor. If you don't like it ,then buy an aux battery set up.

Just hook that up to the existing 48v to 12v converter since you have one already.

Instead of installing a stereo, we just went with installing and amplifier and speakers with an AUX jack to plug in phones/ipods. Made it a nice clean look. I'll try and take some pictures of it once I get it the final installation done.

Our cart is just a simple cart only needing 2 speakers. But since you've made it a six-seater, you'll probably want to get a 4 channel/speaker system.
