Re: Less than thrilled after DS upgrades
After you adjust the ARM, do another reading from the black to the white wire but pay attention on the resistance increments as the arm moves from pad to pad.

Should that screw on the wiper arm be loose?

Re: Less than thrilled after DS upgrades
So can I adjust the arm or do I have to adjust it with the accelerator rod below? The jam nuts on the rod are rusted so that's not working too well if that's the option.

Re: Less than thrilled after DS upgrades
Got 4.9k on the last pad. Ohms drop as the pedal comes back up. Seemed to be the problem. Now if I can get it adjusted so I can see if this thing will go faster.

Re: Less than thrilled after DS upgrades
Those wiper arms are notorious for coming loose and missing pads or not contacting pads at all. Like FairTax4Me suggested, make sure that screw is snug on the arm. |

Re: Less than thrilled after DS upgrades
The ball sockets on the throttle rod are almost always seized. If there's a step or offset on the rod somewhere along the way you can try bending the rod there to make it a bit longer. You may need to re-adjust the stop position of the pedal after that.
The only way I've got the ball ends to loosen is to remove the rod and heat them up. Usually a propane torch will get them loose, but there is the risk the rod can break. |

Re: Less than thrilled after DS upgrades
Stole the throttle rod off my next project. So made the adjustment. Got the v glide working properly. 20+ mph and the batteries are not even broken in. Thanks for the help you guys.
