I bought the expensive reducer because I didn't want a cheap one to crap out on me. Running my 940nm IR light bar on it and works great.

Only thing to think about is if there is going to be a wench in the future....converter will not give you enough amps. You'll have to put a 12 volt battery in there. BTW, is it winch or wench? I get those confused....

Winch is what you're looking for. Wench is an archaic term for a hooker.

I might have a winch and a wench on it lol. Ive thought about a winch but i welded the rear diff up so its posi traction now. If i need a winch im going all out and getting a 4wd kit. Im digging the one that has the 2 small motors on the front wheels. I think its called torque 4 or something like that

I would agree with that. Before I started my build, electrical work scared the crap out of me. Did my homework, now it only scares me a little...
As for placement of the battery pack and components, I spent a LOT of time mocking things up and trying different locations for things. Still not sure I came up with the best, but it works.

I'm curious how your bus bars and such will work with your pack split in 4 modules and 10. I've only seen 14, then 6 modules and 8. Been long enough since I looked into it, that I don't recall if or how it matters.

YUP!! That's the charger I use. Mine is also Can-bus programed. I will say that once I set the charger, I've found no need to change it. But it's still a nice option to have!!
