12V accessory wiring RXV
What gauge wire should be used when installing 12V accessories? I'm going to run off of a voltage reducer through a fuse panel and attempt to use a toggle switch for a Kenwood 400W BT Amp.

Re: 12V accessory wiring RXV
When I did my cart, I used 14 gauge wire for everything. Not a lot of voltage going through the system, and 14 gauge was the same size or larger than all the wires that came with the accessory harness.
If the harness you have uses something larger, I would stick with the larger wire though. |

Re: 12V accessory wiring RXV
I used 16 gauge wire. I found this red/black twin lead on e bay. It worked well. I ran separate leads to the dash from the 48v to 12v converter, in line fuse on each. I installed a USB for phone charging. I ran an extra lead to the dash area and taped it off. Already used it for a GPS unit. Wish I would have run a third one.
