Default Value of a 2018 RXV

I’m assuming original batteries. Seller says Electric Brake is bad. He has the new brake but has not installed it. Selling as is

My question would be "does it drive?" If it fails the self test when turning on, it may not run. If it does run normally otherwise but just doesn't set the parking brake, that's one thing. If it doesn't drive it could be lots of other things, or even multiple issues - some of them considerably more expensive.

What would the self test be?

He said it won’t move because of the electric brake being bad. Reading on here it sounds like a bad electric brake causes this issue.

I told him I’d give him $2000 as is. Should I reconsider?

I would want to know more. Age and condition of the batteries, was it actually working before the brake failed. How long has it been sitting there not moving etc. For the sake of a few bolts and connecting the plug to fit the new brake, you can get answers to all these questions.

Then a deal can maybe be had.

Even with the unknown $2k is probably a good price, maybe $1500

I would make sure it is really a 2018 cart. That rear seat kit looks way older than that.

I’ll Check the serial number and make sure it’s a 2018. The rear seat foot platform looks like he spilled something on it

Old style frontend, dash and cupholder, i would say it's definitaly not a 2018 model
Check the serial no. and test it with the brake installed ( very easy ) as recommended.

Serial number located at steering column near the floor / behind driver side front wheel at the frame.

Make sure the plate indicated by the red arrow is black indicating a Curtis controller and 2012 model or newer. If it is grey or silver then cart has a Danaher controller which is now obsolete and would indicate a cart older than mid 2012.
Cart in the picture has 8v batteries but most of these will have 12v batteries.

It was a 2017. Need some TLC but I think it’s gonna work.

4 12v batteries. They are 2017’s so will need to be replaced soon. Update: Three were sitting on 12.7V each and one shows 14.4v. Ever heard of this?

He gave me the new parking brake so will get it installed this week and see if she runs
