workhorse just died
hey guys, not sure where to go next. started cart, pulled out of shed, went approx 50 feet, and cart died. I'm sure it is electrical some how though. Push gas pedal, nothing happens. I replaced all fuses, fuse block, nothing. Lights do burn though, but won't turn over. Battery is new, and charged. I have checked fuse block with light meter, all is hot. I feel it might have something to do withn either the ket switch, or maybe the gas pedal. Any suggestions? I have a cast on my right arm right now, so I'm looking for an easy way to amybe get my cart fixed. EZgo workhorse LX1200 1987 model.

Re: workhorse just died
There were no Workhorse carts in 1987. Is this a 2 stroke cart or 4 stroke? Check your F/R micro / the pedal switch micro and / or ground wires. Need to know what year you really have to help any further...

Re: workhorse just died
Oh - The lights and fuse block for accessories have nothing to do with the engine...

Re: workhorse just died
DId you jump across the solonoid?
It should start or spin unless the starter is bad...How about a bad brush in the starter? Try wacking the bottom to the solonoid with a screw driver maybe its stuck.... |

Re: workhorse just died
Check the micro switch on your F/R. Make sure is works and has all the wires still plugged into it. Also check the inline fuse at the starter solenoid. not just the fuse, but the whole fuse assembly. We've seen them go bad from time to time. Reserve from whacking anything with a hammer at this time...

Re: workhorse just died
thanks, I did find a loose wire, but still no luck. I'm sort of handicapped with this cast on my arm, but I'm still poking at it.

Re: workhorse just died
Where is the micro switch located? I looked all under the cart, but no luck.

Re: workhorse just died
There is a micro on the gas peddle under the floor. Remove the access cover under the floormat.
