Default Potential Purchase Advise

I am new to carts. Looking at a 1995 Medalist gas engine. Cart dealer said everything will be looked over. They are changing out the rear box to a rear seat and adding headlights for $1500.
Is there anything I should be wary of?
This cart will be used on sand and some rooted trails.
Will the stock leaf springs be ok?
Will the cheap 3" lift kit ($189?) be any good while keeping the stock tires?
Thanks for any input.

My cart started out as 95 metalist, check the air cleaner for oil, could be sign of blow by, and if you can take compression check, give you little better idea what shape engine is in, price seems little high but it varies by area your in. Metalis is nice cart, leave body like it, is or change it to TXT style for newer look.

Default Re: Potential Purchase Advise - BOUGHT

Well I bought the cart.Starts good, runs good.
Spark plugs look a little lean (white and some redish spots).
Should I adjust the valves and mess with the carb mixture screws or just leave everything alone???

If its running right leave it alone. It will tell you when the valves need adjusting. Enjoy.
