Question Melex Battery Cables

I am working on a 1982 Melelx 4 wheel electric cart for a friend of mine and he is wanting the battery cables changed. I am having issues finding a listing for them. I have read that some of the old ezgo parts will fit the melex carts. Does anyone know what year or models will interchange on the melex cart? Can someone point me in the correct direction? thanks tony

Ezgo cables of the same vintage will fit, but that is about the limit of parts interchangeability
Even though the melex is a copy of the ezgo it was copied by polish engineers so ..... nothing much fits.... It will be a trial and error venture ...Good luck

If you have a local cart shop nearby, just take your old ones to them and they can make you some.I do it all the time,or maybe a battery shop as they have cables in stock, just make sure the eyes are 5/16 and not 3/8th.

I just did this to my 252 and I bought the premade cables from a local parts store. they had the 1/4" holes but I used a step bit and opened them up to the correct size. I bought 4 gauge but the Lawn and garden 6 gauge 18" will work too. they were exactly like what I had on mine, just an inch or so longer.

Hope that helps.
