8080 with inductive, 94.41 at amazon with free ship. Very nice tach with shift light, recall, and 10K rpm. It appears to hook up the same but includes inductive pickup.

The cheaper 6088 is $39.99 and will do 1 to 12 cylinders you program it. Can use the coil, tach port from car or coil wire, or inductive. It does have a pointer for max rpm. You can get these in chrome too, in two sizes. I don't think I could see the little one very good at 30mph on the cart. Manual:

Pick up is model 9995 and 10.42 all on amazon.

Man they have some nice timing lights with test tachs in them.

I went to oriellies and got one and when I opened it the manual is totally different than the one on their website and now the directions says it is not to be used with any distributerless systems. I have an e-mail into them now about it.The new 6086 that I bought doesnt mention the inductive pick up or anything. It doesnt even have the chart in it to program it to a single cylinder system any more.

Good question, I didn't see it in their site.

I don't think I could see the little size one that well on the cart, assuming it will be mounted down by the dash. But I suppose you are not going to need to check it that often.

Guys, I bought an 8080 six months ago and did a lot of research. At that time the 8000 series were the only ones to come with the inductive pickup and be programmable. I think their website is unclear on that. Maybe they have changed things on their other models, buy I don't think so........
