FYI Yamahahaha Guys I needed to order a front hub for an old G2 today (might have been an early G8 ) and what did I find? They are ALL the same! One front hub 1985 and up.... What does that tell you? One hub for all the Dana rear ends and one hub fore all carts!? Call me

I was on the Phone with the manufacture today and he is unsure what all his kits will fit. A good example is Western, Western is built on Ezgo Chassis, always has been. He did know that because he is not a Golf cart tech so I Spoke with an undisputed widely recognized authority on Yamaha today.... You guessed it, Smallblock450sl was nice enough to give me a call about this. His opinion is that it would seem that the G14-16 brake sets will fit the G8, G9, G11 with Dana rear end... This covers the front brakes too.... It appears we have hydraulic disc brakes for G8 and up with the Dana rear end.... but it needs physical installation to verify.... who's first ?

Did alittle measuring today (business is slow) Here's some info. Get your check book/credit card ready Flint First the front's...G2/G9/G8/G11's and G14's called for J38 spindles, but when you order them they are updated to JN6 (G16) witch means the front brake set up (for a G16) will work on all G2's thru G16's Now for the rear's...All Yami's from G1 thru G14's (with the Yamaha style transaxle-IE: bolt on axle tubes and 1 peice axle shafts) use the same bolt pattern for the brake backing plates, so the G16 or G22 rear caliper brake plate will bolt up. The measurement from the backing plate to the outside hub/axle flange is is within .02 so no problem there. The G2 ect and the Dana hubs are identical in width. There is only 1 problem useing the G16 rear kit with the G2 thru G14 Yamaha transaxles...The caliper mounting bracket would need to be modified to "hold" the axle/bearing in place. The one peice axles have a retainer plate installed to hold the axle/bearing onto the axle housing. There is a small "shoulder" on both axle tubes (Yamaha and Dana), but on the Dana's the axle is held in with circlips. You could get inventive yourselves or better bet would be for Wheelsca to make a slightly modifide caliper bracket and all Yamaha's from G1's through G22's could benifit from "KILLER" hydrolic braking kits. Hope that helped alittle. Wish I had extra cash, it would be fun to work the bug's out completley.

Thanks a Million, Dave.
I will take your suggestion to Wheelsca ... As they stand it fits all Dana transaxle carts front and rear. So, my next question is when did Yamaha use their own differentials? And, in what? Sorry if this question is redundant, I'm just trying to wrap my ezgo mind around this

This is the best I can do Scotty: all G1's/G2's/G3's/G5's gas and electric carts-Yamaha style transaxle's. G8 gas -Yamaha style/G8 electric up to 1994 (jf3-300101) Yamaha style after that Dana style. G9 gas-Yamaha style/G9 electric up to 1993-Yamaha style after that 1994 (jh7-200150 and up) Dana style. G14 gas up to (jn3-11882) Yamaha style after that Dana style. G14 electric-Dana style. All Yamaha's after that (up to the drive) use Dana style transaxles. One quick way to determine what style it is....does it have a bolt on hub (Dana) or not. Keep up the good work scotty!
