G8 rocker arm ???
Does anyone know what the rocker arm ratio is ? Or does anyone know if any other rockers will fit this engine?

G2, G8, G9 and G14 should be the same.

Re: G8 rocker arm ???
Roc, Plowmans may know. Is the valve stem side of the rocker longer than the push rod side? And I don't even know what the lift is.

Re: G8 rocker arm ???
I haven't got that far. Just throwing some ideas around in my bald noggen. However I saw a picture of a rocker arm so I think that idea is dead in the water. I was hoping of changeing the ratio to get more lift, but it appears they are mounted on a shaft, so outside of cutting new billet rockers it's a dead end. Maybe if I can find an old cam that I can send off to be reground. But new ones are made of gold.I wonder of someone has one laying around, I don't care if it's a little rusty

Re: G8 rocker arm ???
Ya know, when you said ratio rockers, I immediately thought about cutting the push rod side, one saw cut (1/8"), then tig welding the adjuster back on. If thats the side the adjuster is on? You'd probably have all you need, right there. Don't know about high revs tho. Sucker may come apart, an fire a push rod up ur but!

Re: G8 rocker arm ???
Don't know how much HP you plan to gain. Stronger/stiffer valve springs would be my suggestion also. Bigger carb and better exhaust too. PM me with your info, I'm shure I can help you with a cam. Heck anything is possible

Thats why every one just puts bigger motors in, and done with it.

Dave, we've talked about cams, springs, valves and rods lengths in another thread. I believe He's just pondering different scenarios in spare time.
