G2 Backrest cushion trimming question
Has anyone ever trimmed some of the foam from the backrest to make the backrest not so thick? I figured it would make the seating position a little more comfortable instead of just sitting straight up. I tend to want to sit further up on the seat so I can get a more comfortable position. I am 6'1" if that makes any difference. Is there any other sub forum that would be better suited to this question?

Re: G2 Backrest cushion trimming question
I thought about that. I didn't know if you could find any that didn't cost a whole lot. I know that the boat seats at wal-fart were too narrow. I have a friend that owns a boat repair shop and he had a book with all the different types and style of seats. There were actually some nice looking bench seats that were the right width...but if I were to go that route then I would just give XT Innovations a call and be done with it. I just don't have the extra $$ to through down for custom seats.
Bigcountry79, it looks like you have grey seat covers. If so, do you have any other pics of your cart? I though about grey, but can't decide yet. |

Re: G2 Backrest cushion trimming question
This doesn't change the seat position but one thing I did to help with being more comfortable was to move the steering column upward. Easily done by installing spacers (washers) between the steering box and the mounting bracket. About an 1/8" under just the back half raised the steering wheel about an inch.
