Default Yamaha. 48v I VS Ez-Go 36v

I tested a 2008 Yam 48v & a Ez-go 36v today and the Ez-go out pulled the best 48v easy. I live in a hilly area so torque is important. I am guessing the volts does not matter all that much? I am Suggestions?
