Default Drill Battery Charger

Now I did it.

I touched the contacts together on my battery charger and now it is smoking big time.

I am wondering if there would be any issues I should know about if I hot wire my 12 / 14.4 volt drill charger to a car battery to see if it will hold a charge.

The drill battery is a ni-cad and the algorithm of that charger is not right for a lead-acid battery

That is why I asked.

THANKS MUCH.

Is there any other inputs from the Christmas lurkers ??

Any idea's of what happened to my charger and how or if it can be fixed ??

I REALLY REALLY want to see if this battery will come back too life.

I put a very small amount of distilled in cells and it reads 8.36, 5.92, 7.37, 6.73, ECT...

If it is a car battery use jumper cables and charge it from your running car. Not very elegant or cost efficient but it should work.
