Re: Ultimate Precedent Hunting Cart?
TahoeDawg, are you still doing these conversions? The Sepex to series conversion may be just what I'm looking for. I live in Florence, SC about 2.5 hours from Augusta.
I'm new to BGW and to the electric cart world. I just bought a 2012 CC DS iQ that has a new camo body and a lift kit. With fully charged new batteries it is still underpowered for the load it needs to carry, which is four big guys and hunting/fishing gear, about 1100 lbs total max. The terrain we cover is varied but includes some half-mile runs on dirt/rocky/grassy roads, fields and hills in SC and WV. With it's stock motor and controller it crawls uphill in such areas with only 3 of us onboard and no gear. Need max torque and still maintain decent speed. Because some of the hills are long and steep I'm concerned about motors overheating as well. I think I could tackle this myself (I've done a 36v trolling motor system and dozens of electronic gizmos on boats) but the parts and steps needed here are not immediately clear to me. And then there's the time factor - I carefully estimate the amount of time I think I'll need for a project, and then promptly multiply by 3!! |
