Default G1 does 29 mph, want to go faster, Help!

I Have a G1, not sure of year. Motor # J31-009672. What has been done: Oil injection eliminated, new cylinder, piston, and rings, stock bore, head shaved 25 thou, new crank seals, timing advanced 1/4 inch past factory stopping point, gasket matched cylinder head to exhaust mount, but did not touch inside by cylinder, just opened from there out to gasket, barbacued muffler, took out baffel in exhaust tube that is between head and muffler, stock carb still, longer gonerner screw and turned in all the way, 92 mustang coil on it lol, took 4 out of the 7 pucks out of the comit clutch, just triying to see how it would react if i lightened the pucks way up, im looking for a higher stall. Really does not have one now. I have a 28 mm Makuni carb, diaphram style off my stand up jet ski i was gonna put on it. I was told a 28 mm carb is a good upgrade for these carts. Will that work or help? Takes off like a bat outta hell at 1/4 throttle, does 23 mph at that, but from 1/4 throttle to full, thats when its kinda a pig, and takes a few to get to 28-29 mph. I got a tach on it, and if remember from fall, it was around mid 5000 range, maybe 6000. Oh, and its still only showing 90 psi for compression, and i thought that was still low. Any advice guys, thanks!

Are you running stock tires to get that 29mph?

I've got a G3A, basically the same, and 29 is where I am at.
If you have the throttle/exhaust linkage, I might be interested.
Mine doesn't run well at low rpm
