Default Help ID this cart

My buddy picked this cart up and threw a coat of paint on it ... Then he sent me this pic to help him ID the cart. I don't see enough Japanese golf carts to know... It has a very distinctive cooler behind the seats. He says it is a 36v cart. What model is it and where can he find the serial #? Thank you for any help.

That's a G8-e with a custom cooler fiberglassed to the rear body, just like the "western's". Never seen one done like that before, must have been from southern CAl or AZ. The vin tag should be just forward of the batteries on the drivers side, should start with JN4-.......

G2/G9's had a mid seat that would tilt forward , G8's where really the start of the new Yamaha body/suspension line, with removable seat bottoms and articulating suspensions. My work is done

The g-8s have a very fragile body. A lot have had g-16 bodies put on them.
