Default Yamaha G2 Axle grind?

I have a Yamaha G2 (not sure what year or model, but it is an older one) sounds and feels like there is some grinding coming from the right (pass side) rear axle. Not really sure what this could be. it still drives ok, but the constant grind bothers me. Any ideas?

Have you taken your brake drum off and checked the brakes?

I take a hammer to mine and it knoxs off any rust and it loosens up. There should be a small hole so you can back the brakes off.

Got the drum off and cleaned the brakes all up with cleaner. They have more than 1/4 of show left. They look ok to me. What else should I look for?

Anyone know how much should be left on the shoe? If the brake pads are ok, any ideas why I would have a grind in the right rear axle? Thank you!
