Backend rattle and false roll-away activation

I have two problems that are probably interdependent in some sort of tangently related way and I was hoping to get an idea from the group of where to start looking/troubleshooting. My cart is a 2001 EZGO TXT PDS.

The first thing I have is a rattle in the back end when I am coasting and/or going downhill. No unusual sound at all while power is applied, but the moment you take your foot off the pedal there is a persistent low pitched rattle.

The second thing is that the roll-away prevention feature occasionally activates when it shouldn't. For instance, I'll be moving along at full power (pedal down) and that dreaded beeping will come on and the cart will brake to a full stop. Can't really do anything until it stops, but then all you have to do is let off the pedal and push it back down and you are on your way again.

Can anyone make a suggestion on where to start looking and if these two issues are related or separate?

I had that same "rattle" happening when I took my foot off the gas as well - and sometimes under load. It was an occasional rattle - not steady. Turned out I burned up the bearings in my drivers rear hub. Getting ready to tear it down and replace both sides. 2005 TXT PDS. I started a thread for it . . .
