Oil level?
I have a 96 Club Car DS gas and I just installed a Jakes 3 inch lift kit and larger tires/rims but I have a question on the oil level. The level dropped now since lift kit and I was wondering if I top it off or mark a new full mark?

Re: Oil level?
Mark a new mark for the existing oil level!

Re: Oil level?
Or lower the front of the engine so it sits at less of an angle. It's high in the front and low in the rear after your lift, correct?
When I did my lift I lowered my front engine mount by about 2". |

Re: Oil level?
Hey Springbok,
When I got mine it was already lifted and didn't think about this until I drained the oil to change it. Now I have no idea to start with......grrrrrrrrrr If I jack up the rear of the cart to make the top of the motor level, then fill to the correct level on dipstick.. Would this give me the correct level of oil. 1991 CC, Thanks |

Re: Oil level?
I never put a level on my motor before the lift to see if it actually sits 100% level with stock suspension. We should try to get someone here to do it. I have a feeling it still tilted lower in the rear slightly before the lift. The KF82 crankcase only takes about 1 quart of oil.

Re: Oil level?
Here's a thread where this was discussed. Shadowman says in post #6 that the correct amount is 1 quart, 8 oz to be exact.

Re: Oil level?
Sounds like a great way to determine. I will drain and start over with that amount and remark my dipstick....

Re: Oil level?
38 oz if you replace the filter is the exact amount.
