Default Lowering 99 club car

Hey guys,
I posted this in a different section and got no response so here it goes again....
After reading the forums it sounds like some of you have lowered your club cars by flipping the front transverse spring??? Is it really that simple? Is it literally take out the spring and turn it upside down and reinstall? If so, how did you like the ride when you were done? How much did it lower your cart? with stock wheels and tires did you still have enough clearance? I work at a spring shop. So taking out the rear springs and rearching them is a no brainer. I am not convinced flipping the front spring is as easy as it sounds. Would love your experience with this.....
I want to get this project going.

if you look at this thread thats what it looks like they have done the only problem seems to be the upper shock mounts must be relocated and some trimming but since you have access to a spring shop you can make what you need

I am concerned with stuff like clearance, how it steered after, looks to me like it's going to change a lot of steering angles. I hope it's that easy. love the look of the lowered carts.
