Resort Villager Gas Upgrades
I have an opportunity to buy a 2003 MG series resort villager gas version. It has 3 rows of seats plus the folding rear seat. I have a electric precedent that I have worked on to upgrade motors and such but I do not know anything about these gas versions.
Can you pretty much use all of the same lift kits and what not? Are there any motor modifications that can be done? What kind of speeds do they get stock? I have not test rode it yet but i am sure with all those people and weight, I will want do get some better speed out of it. Thanks for any insights. |

Re: Resort Villager Gas Upgrades
Greetings,
I have a 2006 Villager 8 with a cargo box instead of the rear facing seat. Mine has the FE400 engine and I get about 20mph out of it with the governor adjustment and the rev limiter removed, up from about 13mph before. I don't run it full out for long periods of time though. I put on 10" wheels and tires and used the Jakes wheelbase extender to eliminate rubbing the front wheel wells. Mine with 8 people on it will go up a steep incline with no issues at all. |
