Ezgo TXT Series wont move, well it reverse for a second
So I have a 99 TXT series with the F&R below the seat and no tow haul switch. I upgraded to an axe 4844, HD solenoid and HD F&R bars. wired it all up following this:
I can get it to reverse for a second but forward does not work at all. The controller blinks 4 green led (meaning its in ezgo ITS mode) not sure what could be wrong here. And A2 is not there so that wire is just removed. |

Re: Ezgo TXT Series wont move, well it reverse for a second
UPDATE: It will go in reverse just fine, but something is wrong cause the F&R is set to Forward but it goes in reverse and when put in Reverse it does nothing. So I have something backwards there.
Also when it is in reverse (which should be forward in my case) the solenoid clicks and the light on the controller wont go on till the pedal is pressed, only then will it blink 4 times but not go. |

this should be the wiring on your cart. double check and recheck.

Got it all working and then plasti dipped the cart. Also upgraded to 48 volts so its going 18mph now which I am happy with. Thanks for your help. |

Re: Ezgo TXT Series wont move, well it reverse for a second
lenord, congrats on the upgrade. I too have a TXT (series cart), and if you ever have a rear "NEED FOR SPEED", check into a AMD 7126 Raptor motor. seeing as you made the jump to 48v, it will up your speed to about 35 mph. I just did a total upgrade to my TXT, and although I didn't go to 48V, with that motor and my Alltrax SPM 485, HD F/R, HD SOLENOID, 2 GA. CABLES, I can run 27 mph. so a bump to 48v will really make my cart fly!
Just something to consider if you feel the need! LOL BTW.....GOOD JOB ON THE CART! |

Thats interesting, I see you can also get the motor rewound for a couple hundred but didn't know if that would be worth it. Also thought about going AC but looks like just getting a rxv would be a cheaper/better deal in the end.

http://www.plumquick.com/ don't know how much the rewire if your motor would actually cost....but my motor only cost $580 to my door, only took an hour to swap it out....so I had no down tome to speak of. and I have a good working "throw down" motor to boot. |

Lenord, love the wheels. What size are those?? I have a 2003 txt and am trying to figure out this wheel thing. Want something large but finding the 4x4 bolt pattern is tough unless I get an adapter.

I remember having the same issue when I rebuilt the FxR switch. turned out the stops for the big handle weren't set right, and adjusting the handle position stops cured the problem. YMMV.
