Lugnut torque spec for aluminum wheels
From the service manual I read that the lugnut torque spec for factory steel wheels is 50-60 ft-lbs. Does this specification hold true for aluminum wheels as well? My experience with other vehicles is that the torque specs for aluminum wheels lower. I torqued my aluminum wheels today to 40 ft-lbs, but I'm guessing.

Re: Lugnut torque spec for aluminum wheels
Tighten until they strip and back off quarter turn! Lol. You will likely be ok at 40 ft-lbs. Even 50 isn't much of a difference. Just drive it!
