Re: 1993 gas club car
Ok been working on my cart..got motor back in and is running great...now i want to put lift on and get this thing moving before i start on body...my question is..the front lift looks pretty stright forward as for the back it looks hard...there is a skid plate and the motor and axle are mounted to it and the shocks bolt to it as well..???how does the rear lift work??

Re: 1993 gas club car
j5,
its really easy, a good floor jack, and a couple of jackstands, the directions are straight forward, the back it actually more simple than the front, here's a pic of mine, disregard the air shocks, again....ALLSPORTS!!!!! hope this helps..... |

Re: 1993 gas club car
mine looks different ...so I've been looking around..my engine and axle are mounted to the skid plate...what I found in the forums is that I will need to wield new brackets on the axle flip the springs and where the snubber is..I will need to make a bracket 2 to 4 inch's so the engine sits correct...does this make sense to you...I checked my vin it says its a 93....but I had to buy a 94 muffler...I will post some pics later

Re: 1993 gas club car
Sorry for the delay on your PM jfive
The 90* intake tube is a Briggs and Stratton part, I ordered it from my local small engine repair shop. there are a few things that you have to do to get it to work like grind down the the ears so it fits on the carb studs, and add a nipple for the valve cover vent hose, and some extensions for the air intake tube but, otherwise... it's a piece of cake! Here's the thread with the part number that gave me the idea: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...ubcar-gas.html Yes, the axle and engine are mounted to the engine pan, and when you move the axle from the top of the leaf spring to the bottom with new perches (that should have come with your lift) actually moves the whole axle and engine pan down, and is what provides the lift! and, you don't have to weld the new spring perches... the U bolts and leaf springs hold them in place. (click pics to enlarge) Before the lift: (axle on top of the spring) Misc. 092.jpg Spring off: 003 - Copy (2).jpg After: (axle below the spring) Misc. 093.jpg Your engine cradle may look a little different then mine does, due to the difference in years, but they're basically set up the same way! Hope this helps! |
