mjhoward, I have the answer to your question now, my throttle rate is set at 15%

mjh & SN-

Info from alltrax regarding throttle rate:

2. Throttle rate – changes the rate of response of the OUTPUT voltage and current based on throttle
INPUT. (e.g. How quickly the output ramps up compared to the input throttle change).
a. A setting of 10-12% is “normal” for most applications requiring smooth operation. 20-30% for
most racing applications. The setting does not increase power, however, it changes how fast the
output ramps up.
b. A very fast setting can cause excess power dumped into the motor for the first few seconds
without any real gain in traction or increase in take off speed. This results in wasted power and
hard on the motor and motor brushes. If adding 10% did not increase performance, then set it
back to the previous level.

Bill, I know what it does (throttle rate), my entire system was upgraded a while back, including the motor. ScottyB set up my controller based on my cart and my use and set up, adn that is how he set it up.....and it runs like a scalled dog! at least comparted to the "before" the upgrade. lol

Thanks sir nuke. I increased mine 10% at a time and backed it back to 60%. I could probably drop it to 50% and it would be about the same.
Now lets see if yours will do wheelies

I understand. I'm pretty sure a speed motor with enough amp thrown at it would produce the tq I need. I was hoping one of the motor gurus would find this thread.
Anyone else wanna be a guinnea pig?
