Battery charger question
My batteries on my ezgo are shot. They were about done in September and I didn't use the cart for a couple of month. I went to move it the other day, I turned it on, the charge indicator was flashing red and nothing. I plugged my charger in (which has always worked) and nothing, it wont even charge the batteries. I tried different plug ins and I also tried my other charger on my other cart on the same outlet and that worked. Those batteries are fine. Any idea if my batteries can just be toast so it wont even engage the charger? I don't understand why my charger suddenly wont work. I am hoping to sell the cart so I can buy a gas cart. I need to figure out this charger.

Re: Battery charger question
The charger needs to see a minimum amount of voltage before it will kick on. it's likely that your batteries are so low that the charger cannot "see" the pack. This is a safety feature. You can open a charger up and bypass this safety feature at the start of relay. Or you can charge your cart batteries two at a time with the car charger until they total 24 to 28 V. At that point the golf cart charger should be able to start.
