As long as the charger outputs are isolated from their inputs then you can connect them without disconnecting the batteries. If they were not you would know it by now!

The little puppys I got from Harbor Freight were 7 bucks apiece and draw 15 watts each. They are 500ma Float chargers. They work with cables in place.
They also work in series so 4 in a string will do 48 volts. |
