Question A9817 DS Car - Won't Go!

Haven't posted in awhile, haven't needed to. Cart's been working great.
Best $250 I've ever spent.

But she's stopped dead in her tracks. My daughter parked it & it hasn't moved since.
I've checked each battery, 8V+ on each.
When I turn the key on, I here a click.
When I put it in Forward, it sends power to switch the motor.
Same thing when I put it in Reverse.
But there is NO response from the pedal. I traced the cable to the Potentiometer (I don't think I've ever used that word before), but is there a proper way to test it.
Also, I found a cluster of micro-switches behind the F-N-R switch. The Orange wire is broken off, but according to the wiring diagram here: http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...c.png~original it is just part of the Reverse Warning Buzzer.

Any other ideas I can check with those symptoms???

THANKS

Have you tried jumping the large terminals on the solenoid? Make sure the rear wheels are jacked up, off the ground when you do it.

jack up the rear end, put in forward with key on, and step on the pedal.

Didn't know you could do that. Will post results after the rains today...
